Q. What is Spiritual Healing?
A. It is defined by the Spiritualists' National Union (S.N.U.) as:
"A form of healing by the use of forces and energies from the world of Spirit, channelled through the healer by the laying on of hands or prayer or the direction of thought from a distance."
Q. What is involved
and what can you expect?
A. The healing is always given in the presence of other healing mediums and patients. You are not required to remove any clothing except perhaps an outer coat. The Healer will explain what you may or may not feel. You will be asked if the healer may place his/her hands on you and, if you are not comfortable with this, they will proceed with near-to-body healing (about 2-3 inches away) so that you will not be touched. If at any time you wish them to stop you have only to say. You will be given a drink of water if you feel the need.
Gentle music is played during the Service to aid confidentiality and to create a peaceful atmosphere in which to just sit if you do not wish to have healing.
Our Healing Team:
We have five Accredited Healing Mediums and four Trainees. All the trainees will have a minimum training period of 100 weeks practical training, during that time an education course must be completed with a high pass mark. During the 100 weeks, all aspects of Spiritualist Healing is taught, and again during this period the trainees must attend four review sessions, usually away from the Church. On completion of the training program and education course, the trainee will then be assessed on their ability and knowledge of Spiritual Healing at an upgrading assessment, and if successful, they will become a S.N.U. Accredited Healing Medium.
